Storage and Preservation

Caring for your jewelry is simple and quick! To keep your pieces looking like new:

  • Avoid water exposure – Do not wear your jewelry in the shower or while swimming.

  • Store properly – Keep jewelry in a dry, airtight container or plastic bag to prevent tarnishing, tangling, and scratching. Avoid storing pieces in bathrooms or humid environments.

  • Use clasps when putting on/removing necklaces – Pulling jewelry over your head can stretch the chain and weaken jump rings, increasing the risk of breakage.

While our jewelry is designed to last for generations, proper handling extends its lifespan. If your chain requires repair, you can request repair services here.

  Cleaning your Jewelry

Sterling Silver
Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time, creating a darkened appearance. This oxidation is not a defect but a characteristic of sterling silver. While some prefer this antique look, those who prefer a polished finish can clean their jewelry using non-abrasive silver cleaners. Our favorite solution for removing tarnish is Sunshine Polishing Cloths

Care for 14k gold plated jewelry

Gold-plated jewelry is crafted using a high-quality method called micron plating, which applies a thicker layer of gold than the industry standard to ensure durability and longevity.

To keep your gold-plated jewelry looking its best, avoid using polishing cloths or jewelry cleaners, as they can rub off the plating. Instead, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to maintain its luster. Avoid water exposure, including swimming and showering, as well as contact with harsh chemicals, lotions, and perfumes, as these can accelerate fading.

Gold plating will naturally fade over time—this is not a defect but simply the nature of the plating process. To extend the life of your jewelry, proper care is essential. If needed, we offer replating services here.
